Default sat set-up

got the technomate & 1.0 func dish +tm-2200 motor.I'm a bit confused with the dish angle as the motor has a latitude scale with a pointer to adjust to,and the dish brk. has a scale but no pointer to adjust to ?
My latitude is 54.807 and longitude is -1.572 ,how do you input -1.572.
As you will guess the only thing i got on the screen was "no signal"and the quality was only 6%.
Any help or advice would be welcome.

Click menu
Click OK on Installation
Highlight motorized setting press OK
Highlight Position setting press OK
Highlight antenna longitude
Input 01.6 (nearest that you will get to 1.572)
Press OK this will change from E to W which is your long.
Press exit, all done.
BTW for your latitude just put in 54.8

regards BH

Hi,

The latitude scale on the motor is set to your latitude i.e 54.8 (55).
If you are not sure what scale to set on the back of the dish, just set it so that the dish face looks roughly vertical.
Then adjust later for max signal strength in comjunction with motor azimuth. ( once dish is motorised to your nearest due south satellite, 1W)

I take it that you have read the motor guide.

for the scale on the dish these aren't 100% accurate so i would make sure the motor is set to your latitude mine is 53 so the motor is set to 53 or 37 degrees if it uses that

then dish wise you will just need to peak it on the closest due south satellite in the uk usually 1west, so it will look slightly off the vertical pointing down abit

well some motors like the moteck sg2100a have one side degrees and the other side latitude so once set to your latitude it will be correct

example latitude 53 will read 37degrees on the other side of the motor.

the manual will have a reference table to refer to.

put the latitude & longitude in ,but still coming up "no signal"moving east or west makes no difference or altering angle of dish
Getting fed-up reading manuals might need a video

Hi

I was resetting my fixed dish for 1W yesterday and I must admit that I found it a little trickier than some of the other sats because the signal level is lower.

First off, when adjusting, select a strong transponder such as 11.325(H) /24.500 (BBC World),
Also I found that my Technomate used a default transponder of 11.093H in the Motorized setting. This transponder's footprint does not extend
to the UK.

Have a go with the 11.325 (H) transponder..

If you still can't find it, you can cheat a little by motorizing to 13E using USALS and do an initial adjustment on that.

Then motorise back to 1W and adjust again (as it should be roughly in the right place from the 13E adjustment)
