I tend to use evocamd. It does what it says on the tin. Which is more than can be said for that useless pile of sh!te gblox. I must be the only user who has never got it to do anything useful ever. Even with hours of help from the staff here over several days towards the end of last year I never succeeded in getting it working.

gbox does work well but unfortunately doesn't have a lot of support as it was never intended to become public in the first place

Although as Jim said earlier in the thread there hasn't been any major updates for a long time. Its unable to read some of the newer cards so i agree with Jim in thinking its days are numbered. It also has problems with some of the Viaccess emulations like Multivision which CCcam can handle with ease

Still you never know what is round the corner. Its just a case of seeing what the developers are willing to let us have. With its popularity slipping they may release a newer version unless it is there intention to get interest in gbox to dwindle :?

Unfortunately only the developers know the answer to that one.

If the gbox team come up with a decent new release and run it out to a large group of beta testers again, I'm sure it will get leaked like it did before.

I can get it to work fine, but not properly with internal decoding from the keyfiles. Cards, yes - no problem, local and remote.

AS - I'm sure it doesn't like Gemini, though I have it working on 3.5 OK.

Considering the time gb0x has been out, it does a marvelous job and outperforms most of the other emus.

As far as Gemini is concerned, the emus are started and controlled by script files and only then does the cofig file come into play.

Once you have installed the images you require Install CCcam on both boxes If your using Gemini the EMU can be downloaded from the blue button directly onto the box.

Once CCcam is installed you will need to add this line to the CCcam.cfg file, you will see where it goes in the config file when you look at it.

F: share share1 3 1 1 { 0:1:3 } # LOCAL SHARE

To set up the client box you will need to put the local IP address of the server box (I.e the 7025) and a port set in your router that is open to the 7025 into the c line below

The local I.P address is the bit in red and the open port number is the bit in blue.
on the Client Box add the line below to the CCcam.cfg file once you have put in the correct information required

C: 192.168.2.9 45349 share share1 # LOCAL SHARE

You will find the CCcam.cfg file in Var/etc on the 500 not sure where it is on the 7025 as i don't own one

This should then allow the 7025 to pass on the EMMs and ECMs the 500 needs to decode.

Bad choice
I´m surprised that nobody banned you..
sometimes Patched Emus ignore your X: line in your cfg
and you´ve got "more" Cards than you realy have..
2.1 also have Probs with the Latest R142 and R180 Nagra cards ( Like D+, and Polsat) so you don´t share them Forward..
but it´s your choice 2.25b Works fine and stabile..

but Back 2 Topic
i decidet Gbox, because in CCcam there is a lot of stuff to block things to your Partners.. (you have fully control over them, you decide what they have to looking for)
and i live in a "free" country with a free Emulation..

regards Oschy
