I think I found the abs file that Damonfeuer refers to - it has version 1.3.76 in the name, right? SL65s are usually patched with bin files - can abs definitely be used?
Also there's another (newer) file above it which refers to fixing the Truman firmware audio problem and that zip file has a batch file and a few dll's in it as well as the abs file. What does running that batch file do? |

In general, there seems to be a lack of clarity about which uploaders can be used with bin files, abs files, jtag or RS232. I'll PM you with some extra info I found which may not be appropriate on here. Sol |

ops:The batch file is an attempt at automated modification of Truman releases. I can personally say that the Vampire file works very good on a SL65/12 B1 using serial upload but WARNING if your remote is not compatible then you will be unable to return to the old firmware. The current file renders the front buttons useless so you could not power on without a remote therefore you could not reupload the old firmware. Yesterday source file patches for the comag remote and led panel have been submitted. Hopefully once compiled the original remote and buttons will function. If you want to play it safe i would wait, my first intention when posting about this was to try and stop people wasting time with other projects as this experiment was very close to bearing fruit. If you like to play though use Upgrade_DVB, change the requestor to see all files, upload the abs, pray that your remote at least powers on and have fun ![]() PS - Some remotes reported working - original truman/opticum/etc (obviously) , Thomson ROC3205, Thomson ROC85, Tschibo, TCM Universal, Medion MD3830. |

Many thanks for the comprehensive clarification, Damonfeuer.
![]() I'll wait until the remote problem is resolved, I think - less trouble than experimenting with my universal. ![]() Sol |
