I never see a footprint of over 60MB with DVBDream on Vista. I know it might sound like I'm some kind of DVBDream fanatic, but I really do like it

I suppose I'll have to install it again then... 8)

I just want stability. That's the only thing that really matters to me for now. And lemon meringue. That's on my list too - between stability and the return of Jose Mourinho.

Oh, DVBDream's as stable as Jose's stubble! Such a powerful, manly jawline...

...

...Ahem. Honestly, I've never had DVBDream crash on me. Not once. Ever. Every part of it works flawlessly in Vista. It does absolutely everything I want it to, so I see no reason why you shouldn't give it serious consideration if you're running Vista.

With such a glowing report, how could I not give it another go?

What version are you using Rocket? Is it on the website?

I'm using v1.3c. I don't think it's been updated for a while. Let's find out (_http://www.dvbdream.org/)... Yeah, no updates for almost a year, and it still works flawlessly on Vista. Now THAT is programming

I have DVBDream 1.3c on my Vista OS but I find it has very slow channel zapping and HD freezes very frequently. Also a single satellite scan takes nearly 18 minutes.

Altdvb seems to work faultlessly on Vista now with channel zap at less than 1 second and a satellite scan in less than 3 minutes.

You can change the channel searching speed in DVBDream under Options > Preferences > Scan. I feel like some kind of DVBDream rep., now

Yes I tried that but it would appear that I am just not a DVBDream afficianado.
