Default Some peoples ideas of cheap

I went on a white goods forum the other day

As we need a new cooker and I wanted to know the difference between free standing and slot in. both the same by the way.

Anyway they asked what my budget was and what features we were looking for.

Told them about £200 with separate grill and gas. Some one said they had spent £350 on one and had nothing but trouble and someone else said "well thats what happens when you get a cheap cooker" Since when was £350 cheap. I was then informed that the best cooker was a range style. So apart from the fact I now have to spend £400+ if I want a good cooker I have to knock a wall down to fit a great big thing in that I don't want or will ever use, what is wrong with some people? they don't live in the real world, they relay don't. :?

The huge majority of people who say that a £400 cooker is a cheap one are saying it simply for the shock value; they want to be noticed. The rest of the people who say such things are idiots.

I have never seen the point of spending huge amounts of money for white goods or electrical goods. 99% of the time they are all made by the same parent company anyway and you are just paying for the name. take washing machines, you pay more for a hotpoint than a service or ariston, but they are all owned and made by the same Italian company. You pay a fortune for one with the hoover name, but they are owned by the budget brand candy. its amassing when you go into it just who owns and makes what

I wish Lidl would branch out a bit as anything with the Bifinett name always seams to last.

Greatest kitchen appliance ever invented! Next to the washing machine and dishwasher. I couldn't live without a dishwasher. It's the greatest kitchen appliance ever invented! Or is that the washing machine?

All I need now is a machine to make everything dirty in ten minutes, and I can get rid of my family altogether!
