You also need to load Kempa's Softcam which you'll find in the same place you got the patch. Loading softcam is similar (but using 'keys' tab of Loader) but simpler/quicker than loading patch.

ETA Also, did you load very latest patch i.e. 272 of 20-06-08?

No no, don't just google; I assumed you got the Magic patch at Alsat forum. Google Alsat forum; you will then have to register; then go to the Technomate section - look for software - look for Kempa softcam - download - load to receiver. (Bob should then be ya father's brother).

Hi Folks
this is my CHECK LIST when patching TM1000D

1 If not using a scart connection - check your system settings and note the rf output/Usals settings etc so you can reset it later

2
Now save your channel list from the box to your pc with the latest Darkman loader

3
Now do a factory reset , then go to standby and back on again

4
Now load the latest official firmware for the 1000d from www.technomate.com

5 Reboot = Go to standby and back on again

6 Now load the latest darkman patch for the 1000d from
_http://www.alsat.co.uk

7 Next load your saved channel list

8 Then load the latest tm softcam (usually by kempa82)
_http://www.alsat.co.uk

9 If you are not using a scart connection then change the rf channel from the default to the one you noted earlier, also remembering to update Usals if using that setup.

10 Do a final reboot (On/Off) just to be sure its all embedded ok

Hope this helps.

OK: the patches and softcams are in a compressed format; you have to un/decompress them first.

One of two programming formats are used by the Alsat folk for compression: either winzip or winrar. You have to download either of them to your computer and then use it to 'unzip' or 'unrar' any data compressed with the respective one before then using them (e.g. using loader to load them to receiver).

I believe that you should be able to download winrar from Alsat; otherwise search the NET for a possible free download.

You will no longer find a patch which offers D+ AU, as they upgraded their encryption and so is no longer open.
On alsat you will find Technomate patches by Magic, who took over from Darkman, which will open Premiere 19E, Polsat 13E, and Digi TV 1W, as well as other channels.
