Well... it depends on how low their prices are. Again, think of eBuyer - in old days their CS was nonexistant and to get someone on the phone was impossible (even before they shut down phone lines). Nevertheless, people kept buying from them, even if they were aware of this. To make it clear, I am not defending Wizard but their strategy of no CS and low prices can win if they apply it wisely.

yes maybe, but with forums like this exposing there ways, How many people would buy knowing what they know now.
I will think twice about using them again ![]()

You get what you pay for, I guess.
Glad you've made some headway, and I hope the thief is a scrawny little git ![]()

good this topic came about really as i was going to buy a sat meter from them and wouldn't want to get ripped off of hundreds of quid
if they are busy as it seems then they could have got an extra person in and the manager answer the phone or something theres a few places that are little firms and still reply to email/phone as i had an reply to email i sent about something at like half 6 in the morning which surprised me if only we all had local places to buy gear then we wouldn't have this kind of thing

Huh, last time they (Wizard) sent me a parcel there was no return address and no paperwork, so if they did sent it to you the same way, the 'thief' wouldn't know how to return it and to whom
Our security guy went mad - a huge parcel with absolutely no paperwork! Not defending him/her in case paperwork was there though. |

For those that are wondering, I've still had no joy in getting my money back, despite sending a string of increasingly-threateningly letters (I gave up on the pointless exercise of trying to ring them a long time ago). I'm still meeting a wall of silence.
I've no choice but to start legal action. I'm sending a letter tomorrow giving them 14 working days to pay me back before legal action commences. If any of you guys are pally with them, you might want to try to convince them to stick a cheque in the post to me. It's really not that difficult, and will save them a whole heap of money and effort in the long run. I really wish I didn't have to do this, but they are leaving me with no choice. |

Hi guys,
Wizards forum is down again, it was down due to mass traffic caused by the key rolls. Just the same as this forum but theres prob had loads more people. It also caused there shop site to fail as it was on the same server. Shanester you can pm spiderman, wi77ard, or mrwong through there forum when it's back up. You could also try andy@wizardsatellite.co.uk. If you have no joy pm me and I will try and help you out. I don't know how successful it will be be I can but try and help. ki

Okay, thanks - I'll try Andy. On the very rare occasions that I've actually managed to get hold of Wizard I've spoken to Lee Vickers - he talks a good talk, but he's proven to be full of nothing but empty promises.
Will also check out their forum - is it quite new? I've not seen it before. |
