Anybody know if Wizard Satellite are still trading?
I ordered a receiver and dish from their website at the beginning of August and received an e-mail that my order was despatched on 15 August. The money has long since left my account. To date, I still haven't received a damn thing. I've sent several e-mails to Wizard and I call the number on their website several times a week, but I never get an answer (or even answering machine). I've been giving the benefit of the doubt up to now, as there's a lot of good things said about Wizard on this website. However, if I get no joy next week I'm going to have to take action. Anybody here dealt with Wizard recently, or know anything about the current status of the company? |

Just checked their site and there is contact information, and an address:
_http://www.wizardsatellite.co.uk/index.php?main_page=contact_us Have you tried emailing tham? If they don't answer the phone, or email, you could always send a registered letter, to their address, if this is returned contact your credit card company, if you paid by credit card, and get them to look into it. Or you could visit their shop, if you live close enough. The telephones are likely to be busy, due to the postal strikes, and orders not being delivered, but you've waited long enough and deserve an answer. Please keep us updated with your progress. |

I have just telephoned the shop and let it ring for five minutes. No answer, no noticeable re-routing of the call etc. The number I rang was the one on the website - i.e. 01455 444404
I'm going to send them an email to see if I can get a response that way. It may be that your email is hitting the shitcan at their end for some reason. I personally think you've waited too long, and you should put the wheels in motion to get your money back right now.

OK, I've just used the 'contact' form on their site to ask them to get in touch. Let's see if they respond. I've included a link to this thread.
There may be a simple explanation for this, so I don't want to jump the gun, but I'm also keen to look after our members interests if I can. Regards, STICK

I know loads of folks that have purchased stuff from this company, and there are plenty on the forum here.
That's why it would be nice to help resolve this. If there is a problem at Wizard, then we should know about it, and if there isn't, then Shanester should have his problem resolved amicably.

I remember calling about 5 times in a day months ago with no answer. Fired off an email later that day and I never received a reply to that either. Called them a week later and someone answered straightaway. Very odd.

I bought TM9100 and dishpack off them roughly three weeks ago. I received the TM9100 next day but no dishpack, so I had to call'em. I found that to get'em on a phone was extremely difficult, I just had to wait for 10-15 minutes for someone to answer the call. Then, when dishpack arrived, I realized they forgot to put satmeter and F-connectors to the package. So I phoned them again. Two days later, the rest of the bits arrived.
My overall experience is: prices - good, service - bad. If sponsor could match the deal I would go for it. But he couldn't get TM9100 back then (not sure about now). |
