Default Euro1080

Not sure if this should be here or in the CAM's section...

I've got a Pace810 and have installed a Purple CAM and Euro1080 card.

I've activated the card via the 1080 website and have left the box on with the card in - it's been 14 hours now and I've just sent a re-activation signal - is it normal to have such a wait?

When interrogating the box, it recognises the CAM and knows that there is a card present, but reports "card error".

Any ideas/help greatfully received.

Have you made sure the card is inserted the right way?

yeah make sure you insert the card the right way up in the cam as the card chip should face up, where as slots in receivers are chip face down

Thank you for the responses, I've put the card in t'other way up and the box is now telling me the serial no.

In my defence, there were no instructions with the CAM or the card so I just followed "logic" - if the arrow is face up...

A valuable lesson learned.

I've reactivated, will report it's compatibility with the fussy Pace later.
