That baby Visiosat looks sweet, I'm looking for an unobtrusive replacement for my minidish so that I can fit a quattro - maybe this is the answer?

Looks good enough to eat. There are just too many nice dishes out there and only a limited amount of space to mount them!

Maybe a bit better - the arm is longer than the standard mini dish so maybe takes in a bit more signal? At the end of the day I'm only after 28.2E; 10 metres of cable[nothing special] and no breaks between dish/reciever. Our 'orrible rusty Sky minidish did the business through 10 days of continuous storm last winter that touched Storm force 11 one night!! All I ask is this much more expensive setup does the same without looking 'orribly rusty and pissing rust stains down the wall it is attached to.

I am really surprised after Andrew bought Channel Master that their dishes aren't freely available as they were before.

Everyone stocked Channel Master, it was like the standard dish to buy back then.

Yes, I did come across this [scc distribution] But you have to phone for a price as it obviously varies with the number of dishes etc you order. Couldn't be arsed personally but it is another option for sure. Germany was cheaper I think at least on like for like with the UK retail.

I couldn't agree more. They really missed a trick there. They could have sold shitloads with the market domination they had. Bad business plan. They could also have taken the domestic market on big-time.

As you know i have a trade account with Andrew (channel master) i can get all spare parts but there charge to much for them,

Andrews main market is the telecoms industry (vsat, broadcast, phone masts etc) where they make millions,

Apart for satellite hobbyists like us on this forum the FTA multi-sat market in the uk is dead it is nothing like it was in the mid 1980s early 1990s most of this is due to sky uk, Just walk down the street and ask some one what that dish if for on the side of a house and they will say 99.9% of the time its a SKY dish,

Andrews don't sell much to the public in the uk any more as there is no money in it and this is due to cheap tat dishes and they cheap plastic H-H mounts that you can buy now for Penny's
