Default All Five Channels Lost

Hi, since a week now all my Five Channels including Five US etc have disappeared. I am in Poland and was wondering is anybody else has faced this problem recently. Any/all suggestions will be highly appreciated. I have a Panasonic Digibox and a 1.2m dish. These channels were all working fine until a week ago.

I assume you have a ftv card in your digibox and it sounds as if it has not updated. Do you switch the receiver off or just leave it in standby. Also are you receiving the fta channels like BBC ok?

Thanks for your reply. My receiver is always in EXT LINK mode as I record channels frequently. I have removed the power cable and repowered the unit after 5-6 minutes and the receiver started with the message to connect a tel line and then reverted to the SKY info channels.
I was never able to get BBC or ITV channels here in Warsaw from the beginning . However the Five channels were always spot on and dependable.

Channel 5 and its sibling channels have moved onto the newly arrived Astra 2C

According to the official footprint most of Poland should have good coverage (apart from maybe the very eastern part):

http://www.ses-astra.com/business/en...ra2c/index.php

The new frequency is 10964 H 22000 5/6 if you want to add channels (services 4 4 ) to see if you can get tem back that way.

I tried Add Channels and got the message No Signal Found. I am in Warsaw which is right in the centre of Poland, so am surprised that am not able to get the signal. Any other suggestion ? Should I be looking at a larger dish ? Is my SKY Box able to handle these many new channels. it is a Panasonic TU-DSB31 which I had bought in 2000. Would really be grateful and happy if someone would help me to get my Five channels back :-(

Seeing as the loss of channels coincides with the move of Five to Astra 2C I would have to conclude the footprint maps over in the eastern part of the map are not very accurate. I'll do some checking on some of the other forums I use and see what I can find.

Thanks for your help. Seeing the factsheet of Astra 2C the entire Poland is covered and a 60-80cm dish seems adequate. I wonder what is going wrong. In the meantime I am checking the avaialabilty and feasability of getting a bugger dish 1.5 or 1.8m.

Another member in France apparently seems to have lost the same channels as per his post of the 12th Oct. I never had BBC but he has lost the Five channels as well. So the problem is not only with Poland apparently.
I just checked my Signal Test and the Strength bar is fluctuating between 90 and 100 from 70 before and the Quality Bar has moved from 70 to 90. Means the signal is stronger and better, so where have the channels gone.

That HAS to be an equipment problem - France is smack bang under the middle of the 2C footprint and the downlink strength in France is as strong as it is in the UK.

Hi, were you able to get any more info on these missing Five Channels. Do you think a larger dish say 1.85offset type would help ?
