Default Re: Grrr! Cheap c@ble

Just had a quick play with ALT-DVB and rescanned. Can see premiere through the TM but ALT-DVB has them all listed in red. Probably because I'm still piggy backing my ss2 through the TM but if the TM is patched should I not be able to watch the same through the ss2?
Probably should try and explain.. TM runs motor and have the ss2 connected to the output. Am watching the TM, (with no sound!) via picture in picture on my pc screen. Get picture on TM with most Premiere channels but some channels don't even appear in ALT-DVB and the only one in green is Premiere Direkt.
There, clear as mud :?

The loop-through is just like an extension of the coax really, it by-passes the TM and goes through to the Skystar. So in order to watch the likes of Premier through you're PC, you would need to install something like v-plug along with the latest set of keys

Channels flagged green are FTA while red ones are encrypted

The place where you got you're TM patch will most likely have the latest version of v-plug

I see. I stupidly assumed it was like a spare output, not a pass through. That makes sense now why I could watch different channels on the pc to the TM. I suppose the easiest thing would be to attach sound to the TM but that's too easy!! I'll give v-plug a go if I get time in the week. Is it straight forward enough, (instructions on patch site no doubt..) Thanks guys.

Yes, you basically need to install all the vPlug files into the /plugins folder.
