Default Pace MSS 1000 - Any use still???

Hi all,

Have just been rooting around in the attic and came across my old Pace MSS1000 analogue receiver, just pondering over the thought of hooking it up again.
I have a motorised system with the Manhattan Plaza XTCM which has a loop through for the dish feed,if i ran a cable from the feed output to the Pace would i still pick up anything analogue? BTW my LNB is the Smart titanium 0.2

Is there any life in the old girl yet?

Thanks in advance for your advice

Yes, may well work OK on loopthrough if you put the other box in standby. Your LNB should be fine too.

Lower frequency stuff should be no problem on 19E at least. My old Grundig won't do the higher frequency channels here though - including Eurosport

Check AS's site - www.analoguesat.co.uk - it's a mine of interesting information.

Err lets see 19E is the hotspot nowadays - theres 40 odd channels still going.

Hotbird is down to 4, & theres half a dozen on 5W. Atlantic Bird has one channel which scrambles in the evening. All channel details, freqs, and audio subcarrier details on my website mentioned by Stick

I remember the pace mss1000 wasn't that the small gray and black one with the card that went in the side. My sister had one of those.

Think you're thinking of a different receiver, the MSS1000 has 2 card slots under the flap on the front,a florescent display and a Dolby Pro logic amp built inside it,not bad for its day

P.S Thank you to everyone for your sound advice

thats the one. It was the smallest analogue receiver I had ever seen, nice looking bit of kit.
