Default Mvision S4 USB PVR - any info?

Just noticed on sponsor's site black MVision S4 USB PVR receiver for 50 quid. There is not much info about it unfortunately, so my questions are:
1. Is it patchable?
2. Is there timeshift?
3. Can this receiver output 500mA on USB to support non-powered drives?
4. What formats it is supporting off USB?
5. On front panel there is strange plastic that looks like DVD player tray - what's that?

Any other info is appreciated

I don't have any answers for you, but I noticed this STB today too. The sponsor and others are also selling them on eBay. It looks very interesting.

Hi

Reply to TheRookie questions:

Yes its patchable - gxmax.com is where to look
Not sure about timeshift
Yes it can be hooked up to caddy type HDD's
It supports USB 1 & 2
And no it is not a DVD tray, its part of the styling.

It records on to HDD in a TS file so that you can watch straight away and can even burn to DVD using nero.

So all in not bad for £50

Josh,

Is there a datasheet or user guide available to download from somewhere? Sorry I can't do much search on the web as I am still travelling (that's why you guys don't see my rants here recently ).

As to 'caddy' style - do you think it'll provide enough power to spin the disk? I am sure it'll work with 3.5" external drives (which are dirt-chip these days) but what about 2.5" USB-powered ones?

I have been informed that it will spin the caddy type and 2.5 USB ones.

As for a spec sheet, I am waiting for this.
