Sky Movies Family will be available to all Sky subscribers for a weekend later this month, enabling customers to sample the Sky Movies service.

The channel will be accessible from 6pm on Friday October 26 until 6am on Monday October 29.

Highlights for the weekend include The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Nanny McPhee and Zathura: A Space Adventure.

We have the SKY family package and was looking forward to the free Sky Movies Family weekend.
However every time I tried I got the notice "This is the wrong card etc..."
Did any one else have the same problem or have any idea what the problem was?

Yes - we got the same.

In our case its because I swapped the digibox earlier in the year and never got around to getting the card paired up with the replacement digibox. It works fine on the basic channels, but it doesnt work on the premium channels.

You didnt miss much anyway - a turgid selection of 3rd rate films

Ok thanks for that - I think I may have done the same thing, swopped one Pace box for another - I think you are right - the selection on offer did not exactly make us dash out and sign up for the movies channel
