Default Settings for using DiSEqC motor and DiSEqC switch with TM1000 series.

Background Information.

I have two fixed dishes and one motorised dish all conected to my TM1000D.
I am using a STAB HH90 Diseqc 1.2/USALS motor and a 4-way Diseqc 1.0 switch.
I have the receiver connected straight to the motor, the LNB lead for the motor goes to the output of the switch.
Three of the switch inputs then go to the dish LNBs.
Switch position 1 - 28E
Switch position 2 - 1W
Switch position 3 - motorised.

The problem

The Technomate does not appear to allow you to set some satellites with Diseqc motor ON and others with it OFF,
using the on-screen menu.
The consequence of this is that when a fixed dish is selected, say 1W, the motor will go moving to 1W, even though no movement is required since it is a fixed dish.

The solution

Use TMEditor from Technomate, and do the final settings in there.

For my setup:-

On the receiver GUI, in satellite setup:-
Astra 2 - set to DiSEqC 1.0 1 of 4
1W - set to DisEqC 1.0 2 of 4
All my motorised satellites (eg Astra 1) -set to DiSEqC 1.0 3 of 4.

On the receiver GUI, in Motorized Setting:-
set all satellites that you want to USALS or Diseqc 1.2.( Astra 1 in my example screenshot)

SEE SCREEN SHOTS BELOW:-

Once this is done, back up your channel list to your PC.
How to do that here - Backing up and Restoring the channel list on your Technomate 1000 series

Now you have your channel list saved to a file.

Run TMEditor and open the file you just saved.

Then edit the fixed dishes, to change the 'DiSEqC Positioner Level' to OFF.The satellites on the motorised dish do not need changing.
Then save to File.

SEE SCREENSHOTS BELOW:-

Then download the modified channel list file to your receiver.

That should be it. The dish will only move when you go to satellites that are on the motorised dish, and won't move on fixed satellites.

Warning, whenever you go into motorized settings, and change anything, e.g. adding a new satellite, the whole process will have to be repeated.

P.S TMEditor is Official Technomate software, and should be available on the Technomate website, if not, 'google' for it.

Switching wise, yes it can, as I now have a TM6800. But now I just let the dish move round if it wants to, even though it doesn't need to. You will need to find an editor for the TM6800/6900 channel list, not sure if TMEditor works, but the Clarke Tech editor is reported to.
