I'm just about to order a new 85cm dish with 3 LNB's each with dual output.
Outputs A will go to a 4/1 diseqc switch and the existing cable thru the wall to a SkyStar2, Outputs B will go to a second 4/1 diseqc switch and the existing cable round the house to the TM 1500. I plan for only one receiver to be switched on and live at any one time. BUT I've just found this text on the suppliers web page relating to a possible problem... 'Twin LNBs and Quad LNB should be fully connected to work properly. It may be OK to connect to two outputs of a quad but you have to experiment to find out which two. With a twin, one side has a good connection to the internal power supply circuit and the other is almost like a passive device and relies on power from the second receiver to work properly. If you connect two or more diseqc switches, they take power away from some of the outputs of the twin or quad LNBs (depending on the switching at the time) and things go wrong.' I don't want things to go wrong, so I hope that if Output A is live it gets the good power connection but if I switch its receiver off and use Output B then that will get the good connection. Do the team agree? |

Hi,
I have an inverto Silvertech TWIN for 28E that feeds a Technomate and a Sly Box. I just did a test, where I switched OFF both boxes in turn and checked that the other one worked. ( I unplugged the Sly box from the wall) and both still worked fine. Maybe satsuperstore just want to sell more multiswitches or the problem occurs only with certain TWIN LNBs :? , but I can confirm that there is no problem with the Inverto Silvertech Twin. Robbo |

Works OK with the MTi Supreme line 0.3dB twins aswell. The c@ble that feeds my receiver in the bedroom is disconnected quite often and it never affects the other feed going to the other receiver in the living room
