Mods, sorry if this is against forum rules, but if you decide to delete it, let me know
![]() I am thinking of selling my Conrad STB 2005 CI box. This is basic, easy to use unit with two CI slots on its back. Not patchable AFAIK. Never used CI slots, so can't say whether it works with CAMs. It is 3 years old, no user manual (it was in German anyway as I bought it in Frankfurt). What do you think it worh? Also, as a replacement - I am thinking of MVision S4 receiver, recently advertised by Josh. Any ideas whether it is any good? |

I don't think there is a problem with this, as long as it's not advertised for sale on here.
How much did you pay for it? When we merge with techwatch I think they have a for sales section.

I recon I paid roughly 80 EUR for it 3 years ago, so it wasn't something expensive. A basic and very reliable FTA receiver with some menu idiocies (for example, Horizontal and Vertical are swapped in transponder search).
![]() It is also called Eurosky STB 2005 AC3 (here) My problem is that I hate to throw away things that work, so I only buy an new device when the old one dies. |

I wouldn't have thought it would be worth very much at all. You can now buy cheapo FTAs for about £30 ish, Maplin were selling B-grade Beta's for £20 I think it was. I suppose the best way to find out is put it on ebay and see if you get any bids. Failing that, wait till after the merger and take offers on it.
If it was me I would keep it, for another room, saves buying a new one, and you know how to 'work' it.

Not even a tenner?
I am using it now exactly as you described - in a spare room. I just thought of upgrading it to something better.

£10 or £15 I reckon. If you have to post it, the extra £10 is probably going to make it unattractive.
