I have a camera phone, but I live in Canada and the provider is Telus... Now, it seems that the only way to get the pictures off the phone is to login to your telus account on the internet and pay $0.25 per picture, just to get it off your phone... If you ask me that's highway robbery... What the heck would I want a picture phone for if it's going to cost me just as much as developing normal film? It seems to me, that it should be possible to simply extract the pictures off the phone with a USB cable and the appropriate software... Can this be done? Does anyone else have a similar problem with their provider? Anyone know how I can get these pictures off my phone without paying an arm and a leg with the number of pictures I take?

I totally agree!! When I had AT&T I could use a USB cable or email photos to my email address.
Now that I have Verizon, the only way to do it is like you said. Pay to get it from my Verizon "locker"... that sucks! It's my damn picture, they are just raping people for cash with this business practice! :complain: |

They actually lock the pictures? But can't you use USB, infrared, or bluetooth connnectivities to transfer pictures to your computer with a software? I sure do that with Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones without a problem.

I have sprint and have emailed my pics to my folder and than from there was able to download them to my desktop.
I also had read somewhere a week or so ago. That the majority of camera phone users just take pics but rarely upload them to the website or for any other purpose other than to have pics on their phones. |

Since I don't use my phone for photos (I prefer my camera for that), I think it's interesting that people don't download. Do they like sending them around straight to friends from the camera? Or what is the point? Just wondering.

Yeah my service is the same way, you have to email it to yourself and use it that way. It is their way of making money, thats why I have a camera for stuff I want to keep, and only send the most important.
