Default Well its the end of an era.......

Ive had a great fun admin-ing on this forum the last year or so. Id like to publically thank Stick for putting his trust in me to do a decent job in the Security Admin post. (Err - deepest apologies to everyone I accidently banned early in the summer when I got a filter setting wrong!!)

ops: :roflmao: :spite:

To all the members who arent joining us over at TechWatch I wish you all the very best for the future and hope to run into some of you in other forums sometime.

To everyone staying with us a new era starts next week, and there are new challenges and new friends to make over at TW. One way and another its going to be an exiting few months what with BBC Freesat launch in the Spring, more HDTV services to report on, lots of new channels to screengrab and make acerbic comments about Scantily Clad Ladies or religious content where appropriate, more new services on Astra 2C etc etc.

Ive made loads of friends here the last 18 months and look forward to making many more in the future in the new forum.

One thing is for certain though - the combined TW / SH forum will continue to be regarded as a friendly forum and accessible to everyone whatever their satellite knowledge level - Im delighted most of our staff are moving over so there will still be the usual faces around to help you sort your technical problems out.

I mustnt forget a word of thanks to the mod team who have done a great job in helping to run this forum too. Cheers lads

And from me too, a huge thank-you to every one who has ever visited the Satellite Help forum, regardless of whether they've posted or not.

Once again I'd like to thank the mod team in particular, and my right hand man Analoguesat without whom this project would have been spammed to death. Thanks mate.

I'll be active at Techwatch once the cut-over has been completed, so pop in and say hi.

STICK

I would also like to make it plain that if you have any questions, comments, complaints, or any other feedback you think demands my attention, please do feel free to raise them with myself.

In the meantime, here's hoping that the forum merger isn't found to be too disruptive, and although it's going to feel a bit weird at first, I think everyone is going to do their best to make it still feel like home.

Yes, it has 9000 odd members, but as far as I can tell the posting rate is not as high as on here.

But all that will change significanty come the weekend hopefully.

You've scared them off, that's all.

Normally, TW is busier, but I think SH probably does have the more active community. I'm sure things won't get dull when both are joined.
