Disney Channel is launching a staggercast version of Playhouse Disney that will repeat programmes after 25 minutes. The new channel will launch on October 30, combining preschoolers love of repetition, with an ever-decreasing attention span.
Playhouse Disney+ has secured capacity on Sky Digital and will be included as part of the Kids Mix basic package. The channel will have a position in the EPG adjacent to its sister channel as part of a reshuffle of the Disney services that also gives priority to Disney Channel, over Disney Cinemagic, which moves further down the guide. Hmm, 'staggercast'.
With a name that great, it just has to be a good thing, right? I wonder if the rules of physics stop ordinary people making up stupid and aggravating names for things? My vote's with laggingbehindovision. Wonder if it'll catch on?
