Hi everyone. I am new to this site so be patient.
I have a few questions as I am a complete beginner. I am looking to recieve the dutch channels on Canaal DIgitaal (RTL, SBS)which I belive broadcast on Astra 19.2E. I have a card and a subscription for Canaal Digital. The card is encrypted to Mediaguard (I think!) I have bought a Technomate 1500 box of EBay. My questions are this. Can I use a Sky minidish with my Technomate to pickup 19.2E? I am in South East Scotland. And will the Technomate recognise the Canaal Digitaal card as it is Mediaguard encrypted? Your help on this will be appreciated. Thanks EG |

A sky minidish will indeed pick up Astra 1 on 19.2e as the signal is as strong if not stronger than the signal at 28.2e on Astra 2
![]() In its standard form i'm not sure as my old TM1500 was connax embedded although i'm sure with the latest Darkman patch that it will indeed read a Mediaguard Seca 2 card ![]() My old one would read the data off an old Mediaguard Seca 1 card so it shouldn't be any different ![]() The only thing to be aware of is that all of the regional Dutch channels are now on Astra 1E @ 23 degrees east and i'm sure that Canal Digitaal are going over onto it aswell although i'm not sure if they will be removing service from 19.2e. If it does go to 23e you will definately need a bigger dish ![]() ![]() Nano

Thank you for your help. I will have a look around for the Darkman patch. I take it this is downloaded onto the Technomate via the R2552 thingymyjig?
I may be wrong (probably am) but is it not just the Dutch HD channels that are on 23E. Last edited by Eurograham; 28-10-07 at 06:14 PM. |
