Question only 12 channels in area- CR0 :(

hi guys,

i bought eurovox max 07 for my gf who is currently living in Croydon.(CR0). the box works fine at my place(east london) but at her place after doing a full power scan, it is picking only 12 channels!!!
i have noticed that it is power scan a bit too quick...in 3-4mins only...
any idea what's going on?
the following settings are on when i am doing the Power scan:

-Full power scan
-Mhz 100.00
-Mhz 800.oo
-step: 8
symbol rate: 6952...
i have obviously tried the other symbol rate 68..or something but it did not pick anything.

thanks guys!
Cheers

Try doing an autoscan to see if that improves things ....

Ok next question does she have a subscription with Virgin? because if not it may well be that the signals coming down the cable feed are just not good enough ie too weak or whatever ....it might also have been something to do with the area in which she lives,at the time you were scanning ...you have proved the box to be OK since you say it worked at your place .....a booster might help perhaps? or you could load the box with the latest Beta software which supposedly has an inbuilt one ...

she had a VM subscription for a week only....she managed to get it cancelled.... for obvious reason....

-yeah, the box works perfectly in east London.

-the signal strength is showing something as high as 78%...so i guess it is alright...

-i think there are some other people having problems(same problem) in the croydon area......i have seen some post out there...but could not find a solution....

Thanks

Well it wouldnt hurt to try the Beta download (thats if you want to) or try again to do a scan another day since there may be problems around the area, anyway post back as to your progress when you have made some and best of luck .....

I am in Croydon and had the same problem. I have now sorted it out.

You can try one of the two following methods:

1) When yo do a powerscan, put 6.952 into ALL boxes and set the step to the lowest

2) If you give me some contact details, I can email you a channel file, you install it into your box using dnupman or voxer, do an autoscan and everything will work fine.

Regards
