my guess is your dish could be alittle small

my friend gets all free sat in his home near Nice with an 80cm dish

have you tried doing a transponder scan for the channels you are missing ?

Hi Paul,

I am in the Aude and get perfect reception from a Sky Zone 2 dish which is smaller than yours. Can you hook up your receiver to somebody else's dish to check funcionality? Try ITV first which is stronger than the BBC transmissions.

Thanks for the replies
I can move dish towards hotbird and it is a very strong signal.I can receive all hotbird FTA channels.I don't have to skew LNB either, just leave it on 0 degrees. But for Astra 2 I have to skew LNB to 15 degrees and the signal is quite weak. There are no branches in the way etc.If I had hair I would pull it out.I live in the Auvergne area.Is it worth me signing up with Sky because I can pick that up.Thanks Paul
