Cool Hidden Menu on an EV (Red Box)!

Hi All,

I have found a hidden "Diagnostics Menu" on my red box

Before I tell you how to get there, I screwed my box up royally when I selected option 5 - "preset the channel". Further investigation (and hours of re-entering all my favourites has indicated that it should be connected to your PC first.

Go to Menu - Then press the blue button twice quickly (It may take a few attempts) Exit by using the exit button.

Don't blame me - I have warned you.

The yellow button gives you a Nagra Edit thingie - Whats that all about ?

My box totaly not working, no channels, no tuning no nothing untill i factory reset the thing.

DO NOT scroll down the hidden menu to the 2nd from bottom option as it AUTO WIPES YOUR CHANNELS

Talking Re: Hidden Menu on an EV (Red Box)!

I had to do an auto scan to get stuff back - Then had to redo all my favourites again!!!

The second option seems to indicate that there maybe up to 3 memories on the machine - Anyone care to try????

I just tried this on my Eurovox MAX V and i was able to change the Aspect Ratio to Widescreen. Which was odd cos im supprised no one else had found this out. I am using the KURO image. Not the beta but the official full release.
Give it ago.
I am not responsible for you doing this though but it worked for me.

i did the press the blue button twice on my eurovox and it brought up the hidden menu and the first option thing said 16:9 RGB or 4:3 CVBS then in noticed the thing down the bottom that cleared all my channels and said saving default channels then all i was left with was bbc1 LOL but now i have done a powerscan and my channels are all back i must say though i thought my box was knacked when i only had bbc1 .

Yer i read the comments before and made sure i stayed well clear of there but i was able to change the aspect ratio to 16:9 but im used to 4:3 ill only change once i get my bigger tv. 21" is not big enough unfortunatly. And the lack of HD on th tv doesnt get highs from the 360.
