Default chipping modems

im thinking about chipping a ntl 250 for personal use but need to no what equipment and what software i need and a simple guide to do it, i seen the hayness but its just got aload of stuff about other modems etc is there just one for the ntl 250, also what other modems for work in ntl pure area?

just been reading the online haynes guide for ntl 250 kinda no what im doing but just need to go through it with a modem

i posted the pack of files you need here for the 250, its got a video tutorial which helps to clear up all the jargon

Webstar epc2100

so all you need to do is read the guide and watch the video to see how things are done

everything you need is in the pack so you shouldn't have to get any other files

it appears that Ambit-250, Ntl-250, Scientific-Atlanta-Webstar-2100 and motorola-SB-5101 all use the same file, just the guide may vary.

You need a RS232 Interface mate, and a RS232 lead to connect the interface to pc, you can get it all from Lincsat's Nick-nacks..

You will need there ubr, The important part is nthc1, nthc2 etc, which shows its from a different gateway..

well im seriously thinking about doing it could any one give me a link on ebay of what i need as i think i could get it a little cheaper also whats the best place to get ntl 250 modems from?
