Hi, I have posted a similar question before any never got an answer so I thought I would try again.

Does anyone know if by using a hacked modem you get round the download limit (Acceptable Usage Policy) from virgin media or will it still cap you at 3g?

Well after a little investigation, using a hacked modem does not get round the download cap on VM.

Although I have been told that there is software in development that will automatically change your MAC and prevent the limit kicking in.

Anyone else confirm this?

i dont have problems with the cap. i download at least 3 gig a day and it does not go slow or cut of for me.

Can you let me know your spec as I cant get confirmation that a hacked modem gets round the cap.
