Talking satellite dish

i've got me self this 1.5 meter satellite dish +actuatot 18inch +2inch steel pole +brackets +u bolts+4 raw bolts and started to fix this dish system up and it was pure hell doing all this and it took all day to fix up & line up right using a old satellite reciever on 1 west,i had to fix a electric box to one end of the cable and the other end was connected to the arm of the acuator pluged into the mains and it all moved, to get it to move you click to the left/right to fix your satellites up on the screen of the tv, the dish is sitting right at the top on 1 west,
to the left is east to the right is west and i had to store all my satellites one by one till i had all my satellites stored, add my digital box and started to pick up all the sky channels and the picture was coming in perfect 100% then i moved me dish to nordic tv sirus 5 west tv 1000/sport/adult all coming in great, moved the dish to 30 west hiposat and most if not all was working good, so after watching a few channels for a few months all was ok till i got a letter from the council telling me that theres been some complaints about my satellite dish and would i take the thing down and i said no i will not sod off, a few weeks leter a guy from the council came to my house and asked to see the dish to which my father showed him and he said if its not moved by friday the council will remove the dish and send me the bill,
so i took it down and put back in garage, theres some right arsh h@les about

1.5m is outside the England / Wales planning permission rules, however you can quite happily put up a 1m and no-one can do anything about it - UNLESS you live in conservation areas where special rules apply.

Or you could of course apply for planning permission for the biggun

In the UK we are allowed up to a 1 metre dish, without planning permission, any larger requires planning permission.
Most of us can get away with slightly larger dishes, providing nobody complains, and the council don't notice !!!!!!!!
Just replace your 1.5 Metre dish with a good quality 1 metre and the council can't do a thing.
Of course you could apply for planning permission, for a larger dish, but as your neighbours have already complained I can't see it being granted, unless you have special needs, religious or cultural, for viewing satellites that require a larger dish than 1M.
What is your general location? As you should be able to receive nearly everything with a motorised 1 Metre dish.

I almost took my chances with a bigger dish and no permission. In the end I settled on being slightly over the limits rather than hugely over. 1.1m, a 90cm and a 45cm mini-dish whereas I think the limit is 1x 1m and 1x 60cm. Fingers crossed nobody sees or complains about them.

They can't just turn up and remove it, they need to issue an "enforcement notice" first. You have the right of appeal against an enforcement notice and can keep the dish up in the meantime
