Default New Starter Need Help

Just received my new starview 2 the box, followed instruction on set up, selected NTL, and then Auto, the box found 300 odd channels but nearly all of them are scrambled or bad channel.

What have I done wrong.

go into menu then press 1570 on remote, a new box opens , go to key emu at bottom and change to on, exit ba ck out of menu and all channels should be working
