Default New Starter Need Help

Hi

Have a new The Box starview2 area south wales, have followed instruction manual and whilst I have found a large number of channels the only ones I can watch are HTV BBC, All other channels say Scrambled or bad channel. I am very very new to this can any one please help

press menu and then type 1570 on the remote control, after this a secret menu wil appear and from this menu select KEY EMU at the bottom, switch this to ON using the left or right arrow keys on the remote.

then save and exit and you channels should update

when pressing 1570, the remote must be pointed at the Starview box and also nothing will appear on the screen until all the numbers 1570 have been entered.

if it doesnt work then you must exit and press menu again

also try 2001 instead of 1570 as on some boxes on the older starviews it is 2001

Sounds like you have FTA firmware on it as they are shipped this way for legal reasons you need to flash it with the latest firmware which is 4.54. Press menu and system info and if it says 2.60 or 2.61 then it is only FTA firmware. You cannot get into the CAS menu with FTA firmware hence your problem.
