It would a great idea if the SH skin was not grouped together, I think id use that then.

I am using the SH skin, and think it's fine. Everything is easy to see. It's just a case of adjusting to it - and I'm already well adjusted

I think trying to implement any changes to the forums so quickly has been a bad idea - we all really needed time to settle in and get used to the big changes that have already occurred.

It kind of leaves me feeling like one of those people who keeps rearranging the furniture for no reason, so I'll roll back the changes so that the boards all display as normal, and not make any further changes for some time.

Thats a shame brian, I thought things were coming together nicely.

Perhaps we should have another poll on it?
as as it stands there seems to be mixed views. From a purely selfish point of view I like it without the re-arrangement.

I personally prefer the more compact layout. IMO it would be better to leave it as it is. I'm sure that people will get used to it.

Edit - Oops, looks like I'm too late

I think what I'll need to do is to be able to code different versions, to show the compact and expanded viewing versions. At present, it just isn't a simple job to do, so I should better prepare options before trying to implement anything too quickly.

I'm still keen to improve the overall surfing experience, but I need to be able to ensure I can offer solutions that work for most everyone, rather than make a lot of people feel unwelcome, not least when I'm trying to ensure the site works as a new home.
