Unhappy dual fixed lnb or motorized ?

hi chaps

New to the game looking to buy new system, sorted the box techmaster 1500c1+,

Do i go with the motor or the duel lnb, i live in mold north wales, really want to watch premier football free and films? i belive it would be easier to set up with a fixed dish?

If you go for a dual lnb set up, then your limited for choice.

Fit a motor then you have far more choice.

Installing a motorised dish is a little more difficult but worth the effort IMO.

A motorized dish will give you the best selection of satellites, and thus the best selection of channels. I think the LNB you are talking about is a monoblock, it allows reception of TWO satellites 6 or 3 degrees apart ( there are two types).

You can also get multilple LNBs on one dish.

have a look at this:-
Adding lnbs to a dish.

You can get brackets specifically for this purpose.

A motorised setup is that not that difficult really, many of our members have done it.
Here is a guide:-
How to install a DiSEqC motor the right way

Although I agree, a monoblock is probably easier to set up.

BTW I think you mean Technomate?

I would fit a 1 meter dish in your location. Triax is a good dish and they do a 1.1 meter solid one.

The Moteck sg2100 is quite a popular choice for a dish up to 1m ish, for about £40. Not sure about the dish make, a 80cm to 1m is probably a reasonable size to go for though. A dish over 1m will probably need planning permission, if anyone can see it.

Yes I like rolfw's too, because he has put some pictures in.

even one of himself trying to hide behind the transparent dish.
