I have just completed setting up my dish and digi box(28.2 degrees etc) and ,I am pleased to have got oscillating at times incoming signal between 58 and 71% and steady and constant signal picture quality of 71% also.
BUT the big BUT ,something that doing my brain in ,under the LNB is a small leaver which moves from one side to the other and on a scale on the body from one to five .

What the devil is it for ,and what should it be set at ,if it effects getting the optimum performance etc

Any ideas ? I cannot find anything in the paper work supplied

Usually the numbers are for setting the skew of the LNB, but I have never seen a lever.
Can you please post the make and model of the LNB.

There sky mini dish lnb`s. I think it is for adjusting the skew.

Yes it is. Although on mine it's not a lever, but an indicator, a little white traingular shaped plastic bit sticking out. The skew is adjusted by grasping the f-connector and swiveling that round, the white indicator bit moves with it.

@cactusman, yes it should be adjusted for best signal quality, although when I wiggled mine about it didn't seem to make much difference.
