Yep - that's what happens when you're only interested in paying for cheap, not quality. Toy companies like Mattel are suddenly finding that lesson to their cost, along with other companies who thought outsourcing = cheap, regardless of quality.

and the goverment and other dimwits in this country are confused as to why there are no jobs left,

maybe because at one time, even if you were an idiot, you stood a chance of getting a job as a cleaner in a factory somewhere, now there is no real manufacturing in the uk.

And the quality of goods has really dropped and the checking in cheaper countries is not as good or thorough as it used to be in the uk.

Not sure about that, anything I have had with a made in England sticker has never lasted.

recent items with made in england are actually only assembled in england, the components come from other places
