unofficial software for Technomate Receivers

Could someone please tell me more about this subject

Are there different types of software or only one type that will open all?

How do you use it with the receiver? Is it just an unofficial card you can buy to plug in a slot or does it require something else.

What sort of channels can you gain access to ?? And where can you get more information

Where can you buy this software from and how much will it cost?

The Phoenix Receiver at PHOEFTA £49-99 the advert says
Sometimes customers put third party software into a receiver, (*) this is often called
patching a receiver. This receiver can be patched WITHOUT needing a computer!
Do you have to open the receivers to do this I assume thatthey are talking about the same thing

can do the same with the Technomate TM 5200 D USB

That should give you most of the information you need to know.

No software will open all channels, and some of the packages currently available are distinctly dull (Polsat only carries Polish audio for starters!)

digi tv on thor 1west is quite good

anyway the 5200 usb would be a good receiver choice or even the 5400 ci as that has a card slot and cam slot

even the manhattan xt receivers can be patched

patching the receiver overwrites the flash memory of the receiver with new or unofficial firmware.

It gives you the ability to view packages which usually require a subscription without, err, paying for a subscription.

Doesn't last forever though, the providers always fight back and put a stop to it somewhere along the line.

And no, you cannot view Sky in this way
