Hi,
First of all thanks for a great forum... I hope you guys can help me with type/size dish and receiver I need to be able to view the Danish edition of Canal+ on Costa Blanca in Spain. The viewing card I have a possibility get get via family in Denmark, so my main concern is the size of the dish and what receiver I need for the Canal+ coding. Thanks in advance for any help ![]() |

in spain your going to need a large dish 2metre i think as those channels for canal digital are on the 1west nordic beam which the coverage doesn't extend to spain officially from looking at the satellite coverage maps

Which satellite is it on?
Are you talking about the Canal+ channels, which are part of the Scandinavian Canal Digital package on 1W.? That doesn't look too promising for Spain, as it's outside the footprint for the Nordic beam, so at least 2.8m or more, if possible at all. Thor 2 at 0.8°W - LyngSat Maps |

Thanks for the quick reply wod & robbo71.
Will the 2 or 2.8metre dish provide a good enough signal?, I'm thinking since the beam isnt intended to cover Spain. I dont mind paying for the equipment needed, as long as I know it will work ok. Hope you can advise me on the possibility for getting a good enough signal, alternatively with state of the art hardware. |

Have a look at lyngsat, as I'm not sure if this is the right one, as it looks even worse than 1W

The other Canal Digital channels you need probably around 4-5 meter as i installed a 1.2m Andrews close to Marseille in southern France and it was just the limit, the signal was dropping fast in the evenings and Spain must be very weak.
