my box went off the other day and i been needing to update my card so in my search for the updated chaos file i came across this forum but i see u need at least 5 or more good post before u can download them...in my foolish attempt i made 5 post which must ave been **** coz i didnt see no download section so wat do i do........i went 6 months without cable last time and i werent gona let that happen again all coz i couldnt find anybody to waste my 20 quid on to re-do my card. since i couldnt get the ready made files from the dl section and know nothing much about key editing or hex or bin files and couldnt really make much sense of the guys in ere and what they were trying to explain no offence u lot talking between yourself it must make perfect sense but to newbie its like wat the **** plus alot of the post had ppl asking questions i had and the replies well i couldn't really make much sense off i.e. changing dates and **** knows wat else...not a criticism of the members probably jus due to my lack of knowledge anyway i still managed to get my cable working again so heres a dummies guide to doing it and it worked for me so what can i say.....

this only applies to funcards i don't know about other types of cards sorry

you will need the following software SwapBinHex,Toxic7, im sure its in your dl section probably.

first i had 3 files "flash choas v3 c&w" "int EEprom" and "ext EEprom" on my existing card. Forget the chaos and int file all u need is the ext EEprom file. first u need the new keys which were on the satkings toolbar or if u cant find i'll happily share.

i had to convert the ext EEprom hex into a bin file using the SwapBin Hex application jus drag onto the app then load it in Toxic7 all the existing infomation like box key ird etc is already there jus change the keys easy as.
that file u jus saved u simply click and drag onto the SwapBinHex application and it will convert it into a hex file again.

then guess what jus load up your software for card programmer and jus load up the existing files "flash choas v3 c&w" "int EEprom" and the new Ext EEprom file and guess what to my surprise it works.

i hope this helps otherwise i jus wasted half an hour

or u could just leave the keys as 0000 and let them auto update rather than manually typing them in
