Default Question about dbox

Hi I heard from a friend at work who has a dbox which is linked to his cable conection...my question is...is it only cable connection that this box works with or can it be used with a satellite dish to view encrypted channels without paying....hope im not out of order asking this question

There is a satellite D-box, it will NOT decode encrypted SKY UK channels without access to a card. It should be able to decode some European channels though.

by channels do you mean i,ll get more than the usual channels you get from the box ive already got (one of these cheap durabrand boxes)...like film 4 and others like that...ive also heard theres a card you can buy for a one off payment that gives you all the free sky channels...heard of it ??...

You mean the Freesat card - freesat from Sky - A new way to get free digital satellite TV read the FAQ, card only = £20

You will need to ensure the image supports a Sky card in the internal card reader, I've no experience with them so can't help there. You could always get a used Sky box (maybe card too) from Ebay.
