Default SS2 and ProgDVB

I've just got a new dish and three lnb's for 13,19 and 28, the output to either PC or to TV
via two diseqc switches.

One cable goes to the TM1500CI+ downstairs and I've set it up using the remote. Great.

The other cable goes thru the wall to the SkyStar2 and ProgDVB and I'm in difficulty.
ProgDVB appears to be ready but I've no sound or picture.
Is there a printed procedure I could follow to update the SS2 and the ProgDVB.

More
I can get sound and pictures, but something is very wrong, I can only close using Con/Alt/Del or it closes itself.

In ProgBVB I've tried to link each LNB with the Transponder name. I've done a scan on each
Transponder name and have a full list of channels, not just those on FTA. There was an existing ChannelList for Astra1 19E so I've tried to concentrate on getting that transponder working.
I asked for a written procedure to follow as I suspect I have the wrong LNB number allocated to the transponders.

I've got VPlug 1.9.5.0, I don't yet know what all the words mean, but in trying to call up BBC World on Astra1 19E it says 'BBC World - Timeout.. This PID is empty. Rescan..'
Is this a clue and what should I be re scanning?

I sent the first post thinking perhaps I needed to do some update to the SkyStar2 and perhaps I'd missed that, but perhaps its simply the link between LNB and its transponder.

Sounds like a problem with progdvb itself. Try another version of it or try dvbdream which is my preferred program at the moment.

dardruba, its not clear how you have connected the lnbs. You say you have two disecq switches and are switching to either the 1500 or the SS2. I think you will always have trouble with the disecq switching because the two systems will fight unless you actually power off one or the other.

You should have twin lnbs so that you can simultaneously watch the different satellites via the 1500 and the SS2.

ie the output from part one on each lnb to disecq 1 and then to the SS2 and the output from part 2 of each lnb to diseqc 2 and then to the 1500.

I may have misunderstood you, in which case, as jonty says you may have wrong settings in Progdvb.

I cant blame Prog, the problem is with me and partly my bad memory.
The two diseqc switches are supposed to be on an either upstairs use OR downstairs use.
(Four Output A into the PC and Four Output B to the TV).Well I cant be in two places at once.
Already I've spoilt that idea, I left the ProgDVB scanning and went downstairs to watch the news on TM1500. When the screen pixylated I knew I'd been a bad boy.
Will have to take more care.

When setting up ProgDVD I'd allocated a transponder to each lnb, then I found from the settings in the TM1500 downstairs that the installer had set them in the reverse order and I'd misunderstood (LtoR or RtoL), so I re did it correctly.
By chance I looked at Property and saw the new entries were there but so were all my other attempts too. I'd got three transponders logged to LNB1 for example.
BUT I cant find a way to remove the incorrect entries, theres no Delete, and I suspect this is what is causing ProgDVB to either show nothing or to shut down.

I've now asked on the ProgDVB Forum, if I dont get an answer can anyone suggest a method of removing the incorrect entries, short of uninstalling ProgDVB?

Just for the record

In the first post I asked
[Is there a printed procedure I could follow to update the SS2 and the ProgDVB.]

I got a response
Doom9.net - The Definitive DVD Backup Resource
and for other newbies- this helped me.
