Default Stab motors

Although I've almost made my mind up to get Motek, I see maplins are selling a Stab motor claiming its the lightest you can get to drive a 95cm dish, mines a 90cm would this be a better option, I didn't think they would be as heavy as that.

The Moteck sg2100A is an excellent motor. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight of it. It's really not an issue - in fact a little more weight will add to the stability of the installation.

I have the STAB HH90 sold by Maplins, seems OK. The metal gears according to STAB make it a better motor, than the nylon ones used on the Motecks, but opinions on here and other forums say otherwise.

I've used the Motek for a while on dishes upto 1.1m, never had a problem with them.

Currently a good deal from the site sponsor, check them out - Moteck SG2100 £32.00!
