Hi Twojags, Thanks for the response, tried the bootloader and maincode & its still stalling on the testing serial port, think i'll make the jtag connection lead and give it a go (not till after a lot of xmas drinking) . thanks again to you & yorks for giving your time on this, HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Happy Christmas to you all too.

Check which chips you have before you jtag it. If it's an Ali E you'll need to make up the lead differently to the one I've previously posted for B1 chips, and I think you need to use different software than the Flaps software I use.
