Question I've uploaded the wrong image file

Hi. I bought a Sagem dbox about 6months ago. It recently started playing up but worked after fiddling with some settings. I decided to try updating the image today and flashed the dbox to load commando 925. The only problem is the image i tried to use was for a 2 chip box and after scrolling further down the installation instructions it said that some Sagem's are one chip. I believe this is the case with mine. I therefore have loaded/ attempted to load a 2chip image on to a 1 chip dbox. Now the dbox can't connect via ftp and doesn't seem to let me do anything. Can anyone help me? Is there a way that I can restore the old settings or update the box?

If you look through the forums you will see many posts ablut this. You need a program called IFA (Image Flashing Assistant).

Hi thanks for your prompt response. I've run in to a few more problems
boot: elfcopy failed: 16. When running IFA I have ensured: the firewall, antivirus and the net are switched off, I have also ensured that I have a fixed IP address and have updated the xp media sensing patch (although possibly incorrectly).

After trying many combinations of settings I still can't get it to work and the Kien error still remains...

The image i am trying to upload is comando 925. This was previously a 2x version but to my understanding I used image works to convert it to 1x

Have I missed something? Your expertise would be much apreciated.

I believe that commando is squashfs and therefore cannot be converted with imageworks - you would need the original 1x image

Unhappy Re: I've uploaded the wrong image file

OK I have now tried to use image file cable ferret 1x. I still have the following errors.......

......boot: elfcopy failed: 16.

Or translated…..

It was ten times the vain dbox, netzwork to start.

The causes can have errors:
-A firewall is active
-Wrong network card chosen
Network cable defect, or the wrong cable
- The network is another dhcp-server

They reset the dbox for a re-try.

I also came across another scenario when holding power and up arrow after pressing OK when asked to connect power on the DBOX. (Using IFA),

When running IFA I have ensured: the firewall, antivirus and the net are switched off, I have also ensured that I have a fixed IP address and I've tried changing the IP address configurations too. I also found a xp media sensing patch online. After running the media sensing patch, should I still have pop up bubbles that provide status updates in the corner, or does the patch switch it off so that the box connection remains constant?

Sorry its a bit much....Any Ideas on all of the above?

I have also just tried to use the older version of IFA 156, but it still generates a similar problem.

When my box was working I took down its IP address and details....

IP Address 192.168.0.9
Net Mask 255.255.255.0
Broadcast 192.168.0.255
Def gateway 192.168.0.1
Name server 192.168.0.1

I have changed the IP address to192.168.0.8, but still nothing I am now going to change it to 192.168.0.10 to see if this would have an effect....

I'll be happy if I can get the box working before the Haton V Mayweather fight in a few weeks and so am desparately trying everything I can...

You could try using bootmanager without IFA - this is what I need to use on 1 of my PC's.

I have attached the Tutorial
Attached Files
File Type: rar dbox2_BM_ver3.rar (3.9 KB, 24 views)

Sorry mate, the bootmanager attachment doesn't seem to work. Could you try reattaching it?
