Default Triple Dragon

I noticed Llew and Stick talking about the Triple Dragon, suggesting it to be something of a Rolls Royce of receivers.

Not heard of this one, so the question is, would buying a Triple Dragon really be an effective upgrade compared to all other boxes? And does it run well in terms of software upgrades, etc compared to other popular boxes?

Just thought I'd dare ask a dumb question.

It is a linux box and I understand it is built to a very high standard. There are mixed comments on it and I have seen a number of reports where people love it and some are selling because they dont think it is as well supported as their dreambox.

it's a Linux satellite receiver with 8 current versions of software (since Jan 2008)

Boot Loader software was developed by Dr Overflow AKA Uli Hermnann

there is mases of support for it although apparently not here

official software comes from HISAT - but other software abounds - can be used for playing games -web browsing - easy key updates - emus abound - card sharing etc. etc. but has a lovely build quality picture and sound quality - you can add HDD - and and and
