Default No transponder message. How do i fix ?

Hi....plugged in my new Eurovox Max V and did the 1st scan. Got a good 70% green bar on around 700mhz on a power scan but when i did an auto scan i just keep getting the message "NO TRANSPONDER TO SCAN"

New to all this stuff so what am i doing wrong and what is a transponder and how the hell do i get the tv channels?

Please help but make it as plain as you can as not up on all the technical 'jargon' !!!!!

Thanks....Steve

First off Steve you need to set your Symbol rate to the area you are in before you do a power scan.

Let's know and I'll give you a walk through on how to do it.

Thanks for the speedy reply..

Just before i try again later i just want to ensure ive got it all wired up right 1st.

I have connected up to my existing box via a 2 way splitter and ive put my V***** scart connection that was in the back of my V***** box and have moved it so it is now tv to Eurovox.

I trust this is ok...i am still able to see my V***** tv guide (still paying a subscription)

WHEN I TRY A POWER SCAN (ON THE TWO DIFFERENT SYMBOL RATES...WHAT SHOULD I SEE AND WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO THEN !

Off to work now so will try as soon as i can so please bear with me

Hi all..................still having the 'no transponder to scan error'. It (EUROVOX MAX V) is straight out the box and i have tried both the Symbol Rates.

The cable is in the RF OUT socket via a splitter so i assume its all linked up to my old box ok. Still paying subscription to V****N

Just keep getting TP OO and the transponder error. Not finding any channels even after leaving it 'scanning' for ages

Any tips as ready to throw it at the wall

Cheers....
