I recently looked for Amos1/2 4w and express 40e Looking for footy of course.I get good quality signals from Atlantic bird 5w 80%.Thor 1w 66%.Also good signals.on most east sat's.turksat 42e 53%.But on 4w and 40e I only get 15%.Is my dish too small or are these sat's pointing somewhere else. 60cm dish tms1000d+ stab hh 90.

Everything on 4w is either beaming way off, or your dish is far too small.
Check on lyngsat. Amos 2 at 4.0°W - LyngSat Maps Amos 1 at 4.0°W - LyngSat Maps Amos 1 at 4.0°W - LyngSat Maps Amos 2 at 4.0°W - LyngSat Maps I have only picked a few beams randomly, but I suspect they are all telling a similar story. You might have a bit of luck on 40E Express AM1 at 40.0°E - LyngSat Maps Express AM1 at 40.0°E - LyngSat Maps although your dish still may be too small, with 42E right next door. |

Amos 2 on a 60cm no chance what so ever mate, although certain transponders are more powerful than the map given on lyngsat, I just about get 2 on a 105cm here in South Wales on Amos 2.
Uzbek TV might be okay on a 60cm but only just, on 40e but no chance of anything else Last edited by remlap; 24-11-07 at 12:17 AM. |

Thanks robbo that was quick.I intend to get one of those invisible 85 cm dish's soon.I am having some trouble getting some channels even on the strong sat's. ie foxturk on .42e.Hopefully I will do better then.I am still learning but with your help I am getting there. And when I can type more than two words a minute I shall post more.
PS I have started the next post it should be ready next week.yo |

I can get 1 transponder off Amos on my 90cm dish in the Midlands, although the Sky has to be crystal clear and it has to be about 11pm at night

i can get the megasport tp on 4west with 90cm triax dish quite good signal but really for anything off that a 1.2m dish at least for best signal in rainy weather even that size might not get much
