![]() Sounds like either your pole is not properly vertical, or the elevation/latitude scale on the motor is not set right. Robbo |

Hi agian
Still haven't re-fixed my pole to make it vertical but i was having a play with the motor yesterday to see if i could get from 19.2e to 13e ok as there is little difference in the elevation. One thing that was frustrating the hell out of me was that when I changed the channel from a 19.2e one to a 13e on the dish moved on its own. When i went back it stayed still. Why does it move automatically sometimes but not others? |

That will be because you haven't got any motor control set up for 19.2E most likely.
To make it easy I would suggest you use USALS for every satellite you want it to move to. Just set the motor control for each satellite in motorised setting to USALS, and make sure you latitude and longitude are entered. The motor should move to all the postitions then. When you go to motorised settings all the satellites should be selectable there. If not you have to add them. Can't remember the procedure off the top of my head, but I thik you have to go to satellite setup, press OK, and then ut a tick next to them in a list. |

If it is working correctly and your satellites are enabled in your receiver menu - and your positioner settings are enabled on these sats, then it will move automatically when you select a channel or satellite. If this is not the case then you still have a problem. If I were you I would bring the motor indoors and connect it to the receiver and test the movement of the motor from the comfort of your armchair. It is pointless trying to install your system if you are still having problems. As you have changed your motor, I would look at the cable connections or receiver to try and identify the problem.

Well we do agree on the positioner and sat config on the receiver - so maybe it's one of those rare occasions where I'm only half mad - which means I only need to take half a tablet
- and as you can see I'm a great exponent of the old armchair trouble shooting. ![]() Yorks ![]() |

Well done mate, glad to be of assistance.
Set up a new motorised dish for myself this weekend. After getting the pole vertical, I didn't need to do much else, lined everything up by eye only, and amazingly got most of the sats I wanted without any adjustement at all, pure luck I guess. ![]() |
