Default Technomate 6900 Darkman Loader

Hi, this is my first message, forgive me if I get things wrong. Have just got a Technomate 6900, I was told that I only needed Darkman patches to decode with. I have tried installing using usb pen, but nothing decodes. If I use T-Rex cam everything OK. Do I need a Loader as with previous Technomate machines and if so where do I find one for this model?
Thanks

Hi chas,

You will also need to load the latest softcam (or manually enter the keys), have a look in Alsat's Technomate section for them m8

You can load the Patch and softcam by USB, you only need the Loader if using RS232

I know how to load a patch from USB pen but TM-6900 doesn't seem to see the TMsoftcam even though its in the route directory of the pen. Do you load it differently to the patch?
Thanks

Hi,
How do you find the pic and sound quality of your TM6900 compared to others?

Have tried recording on hardisk/memory card....dose play back in full screen or low resolution?

Talking Re: Technomate 6900 Darkman Loader

Hi,
so far I have found both audio & picture first rate both recorded and straight of the satellite. I do find the timer record a little naff, I have a motorised dish, if I set a timer on a channel on one sat and then move to another sat the channel name on the timer menu changes to channel on the second sat, if that makes sense. I also find that if I am watching a recorded programme and the timer record starts recording a programme things go a bit haywire. But generally I like the 6900.
Hope this helps

Hi,
so for example if you record a channel on 19e you can not watch a diffrent channel on 19e at the same time?

Also dose the recording play back in full screen .i.e 16:9 ?

Will it pick up SD channels and show them in good quality, as some sytems show these fuzzy with motion blur etc.

I have noticed that watching normal tv channels on HD screens is not as good as CRT, as these are only designed for HD broadcasts and HD-DVD.

I ask these questions to get as much info before up grading to a HD Satellite-PVR.
