Hi guys,
My name is Gary, I have a Eurovox Max V and have no problems whatsoever with mine, however my brother has just had one and his pictures keep breaking up. When I go into the installation menu and highlight the different transpoders separately, the quality bar flickers between 79 & 86 and then goes to red and then back again indicating that the quality is not stable. I have read lots of threads on here and put into action all the recommendations ie: - bought a kong Cable Booster for £28 with a slope control but no joy. Bought an adjustable Atenuator again no joy. Tried both of these individually with and without the splitter. (I've even used both together - lol). I have also swapped the cables just incase either were faulty but still no joy. I have even adjusted the frequency manually by 0.5 & 1.0 either way but again no joy. The best out of all these was the adjustable Atenuator as this did managed to stop some of the channels breaking up but after watching them for a few minutes they also started to break up! I've even swap the Eurovox box over with mine just incase its the box that is faulty but again same problem so the box is not faulty. Any ideas guys????? would really appreciate any feedback etc. kind regards, Gary. |

incoming signal is at fault by the sounds of it check all fittings are tight and in good order inside the house and in the grey/brown box on the external wall. there is an awful lot of noise on your feed and a booster will only add to your problems. if you still have no joy then cable could be damaged in the garden or anywhere between house and cabinet/street pit. Last resort is to ask a friendly cable engineer to sort you out for a few quid....

Thanks for the reply, my incoming signal must be ok as the NTL box works fine with absolutely no picture break up whatsoever.
Any other ideas? I would appreciate any further help or advice from anyone, please post your replies here, I'm sure this will help not only myself but others to. Thanks in advance, Gary. |

it could still well be a fault with the incoming signal as a proper cable box is designed better and has a level of error correction whereas these units do not. ive had a unit that was giving me no signal on all channels and thr proper pace unit worked fine and i found it was a faulty connection. hope ya get it solved....

![]() hi, I've replaced all that I can within the brown box but still have the picture break up???????????????? really stuck now - I know the box is not faulty tried it on mine and no problems - any other ideas? thanks. |

I had an issue with the picture breaking up, turned out it was the coax cable going into the box wasn't very good. was a cheap one from the £1 shop.
it worked after i changed it. dunno if that helps at all just trying throw my 5 pense worth in
