BTW, I was reading about Virgin media boxes, I do have one "PACE DI 2000" (I think), and apparently they can be flashed/chipped in order to get all encrypted channels, is that really TRUE?

2000s are not the easiest to do, you need boxkey by reading card.

My sincere appologies Robbo... I'm still trying to find my way around the forum.
Thank you Reddiesel, any ideas on how I could do that, I am very much interested in getting my box done, partly for educational purposes and more improtantly to watch TV channels for free

(am being too honest!!).
I will very much appreciate it if you could give me a detailed description on how to do it or direct me to a link that explains so.

Judging by the lack of replies, it sounds like what you are trying to do may not be the easiest/best. I'm not into cable at all my self, but I've seen enough posts to recognise that maybe a new box is a better option.

You need to obtain the box key and ird to programme the card. you cant jtag or led sim a 2000, you need to read the card, you need a programmer with phoenix mode, and probably an unlooper as the card will be locked, you could spend this money and find you cant unlock the card so its a gamble. you would be better off obtaining a 1000 which you can led sim.
