Im lucky, by taking advantage of new phone contracts... I now have all 3 of the next gen consoles.
The only way to compare is having a full HD TV. im sporting at the moment the most beautiful of tellys... a 40" Sony bravia W series, its crystal clear and worth every penny for upgrading from some crappy CRT panasonic. trust me. Wii: The hardest to find and easily the worst value worst graphics console on the market, but however its strangely the best. If you have friends and like to drink and play games for an evenings entertainment its priceless. For humour and excellent entertainment value its unbeatable. Satisfaction feels good. Xbox360: You set it up... the power box is bigger and heavier than the Wii, honestly my AMIGA 500 had a smaller power supply. The noise is unbearable, comparable to a hairdryer when you insert that game for the first time. but what a game... Your too busy laughing and shouting at your mates over xbox live to notice the controller is clumsy and lousy. GTA 4 gives you the thrills of your gaming career playing cops and robbers. In short the online play is what takes the xbox into the lead at the moment, it is certainly the console i put the most hours into. (perhaps i have more friends on xbox than others?) PS3: The most powerful, a gamers dream, a controller from responsive heaven. however wow its expensive, but consider the BLUERAY player. What Hifi magazine or something similar said, its the same feeling you get when you see the difference from moving your old wire TV aerial off the top of the tv to a full size one on the roof! i do have to say i agree. With blueray games like metal gear 4 with the gameplay and graphics from another world, it also puts it into the lead. In truth there is no answer to your question, all consoles have there own winning elements. The wii if your an adult party man who likes the local party play in your messy living room. the 360, if you have other pals who own one too and are online, they dont have to come round and you dont have to clean up after them either! then the PS3 the ultimate one player emersive console, im just looking forward to its future. hope its sound advice hoth

Great post Hoth. I have the PS3 myself as after 3 xboxes I could face no more rings of death!! The online is not as good as the 360 but it just edges it for me but not much in it. I havn't bothered with the wii, my mum has one and the novelty quickly wore off after a month.
